The project was selected through pitching and remains true to itself from the beginning to the end. ( main design element being the electronic pixels. ). And here's the product from the initial stages to the end. The pixels were the main graphic element of the entire event-branding, and hence, it is kept consistent through-out the set of the entire branding collaterals.Branding collaterals include pull-up banners, paper bags, programme booklet, advertising collaterals,lucky-draw coupons, general coupons and main event banners.
The SMRT Ads proposed were one of the few entries which got shortlisted. Dementednun is enthusiastic about advertising and believes that marketing and designing should always come together. A design must sell, and be it through emotions or logic, the most significant part of designing is it must sell.
Dementednun designed for ITE College East, for their current ( 2008 ) National Day Celebration event at School. She was trying to inject a festive yet corporate look-and-feel to the banner-designs. Red and white colours were used to respect the original ''red-and-white'' colour scheme of the Nation.
Though the final design had to conform to the original initial corporate branding of the entire event so as to follow-suit the style, mood and theme of its initial concept, DementedNun gained exposure through proposing the different variations of designs for the event, as well as being in charge of handling an actual project.
The final designs would not be shown in this site, as DementedNun admires and respects the fellow main designer's works.
What was produced originally from DementedNun's side would be shown in this blog.

During her education in polytechnic, Dementednun took Design Academic Paper. Dementednun is hungry for design, and hopes to improve on her portfolio by taking on new adventurous projects. Dementednun's Design for aging essay got awarded a distinction, and was one of the 4 which got selected to communicate with a younger target audience through Design for aging, >60 exhibition at school. Dementednun was given the task to do a basic layout and the final design had to conform to the Design for aging template.
When a local night-life club disallowed a 69 year old lady free entry because society deemed her to be ''unattractive'', Dementednun wanted to have a say in it and manifested it through her usual light-hearted portrayal of things. She wanted to show that in life, the double-standards society has on fellow women is inevitable. To gain attention, she got to be attractive, to gain charisma, she got to prove herself doubly hard as compared to the male counterparts.
Apart from design, Dementednun hopes to explore her ability to execute other tasks too. This reflects her versatility as a designer, and her ability to market herself as a spontaneous person. Dementednun hopes to tap into fashion illustrations in future, as well as improve on her Visual Merchandising aesthetics-sense.
